Master plan · Stowe, Vermont · July 2026
Somebody has to do the work.It shouldn't have to be a person.
For a century we met every labor shortage the same two ways: ask people to do more, or find more people. We have run out of both. The work that keeps the physical world moving, the patrols, the lifts, the hauls, the night shifts nobody volunteers for, keeps growing, and the workforce willing to do it does not. Fantom Robotics exists to close that gap. Not with a demo of a robot. With the work itself.
Fantom is an aerospace, software, and robotics group in Stowe, Vermont. We already build machines that carry people and cargo through the air, the Fantom X, FantomCARGO, and the Command software that runs them. A humanoid is not a detour from that. It is the same discipline standing up on two legs. Machines are the family business, and the hardest machine to build is the one shaped like us, meant to work where we work. So it is the one we are building.
Here is the plan. Three phases · and we are inside the first.
Phase 01
A humanoid that works a real shift.
GHOST is a full-size humanoid built to do one thing first: clock in. Not wave at a conference, not fold a shirt on cue, hold a real position on a real site, judged the way we judge any worker, by whether the shift got covered. We start where the need is sharpest and the task is honest: facilities patrol and logistics, running on the same Fantom Command software our aircraft use. It sees in every direction at once, and it swaps its own battery so the shift never stops. One machine, one job, for real. Prove that, and everything after it follows.
Phase 02
A mind that learns the work, not the demo.
A body is becoming a commodity. Intelligence is not, so that is where our capital goes. GHOST CORE is the mind of GHOST: a vision-language-action model that runs entirely on board, with no tether and no operator hidden in the loop moving the arms. It perceives, decides, and moves on its own. We train it in simulation at a scale no single floor could ever offer, then let it earn its competence on the job. The aim is not a machine that repeats a task it was shown once. It is a machine that learns work the way a new hire does, and then never forgets it.
Phase 03
Fleets, and one mind that keeps getting smarter.
The reason to own both the body and the mind is what happens when there are many bodies and one mind. Every GHOST on every site feeds the same GHOST CORE, and what one learns, they all inherit overnight. A fleet of them will work across the group's own factories and facilities, including the plants where Fantom builds its aircraft, so the labor and the machines it helps build compound on each other. We don't sell robots. We sell shifts: a monthly rate per unit, priced against the true cost of the work it takes off your hands.
That is the whole plan, said plainly, because we mean to be judged by it. A humanoid that works. A mind that learns. A fleet that compounds. Built by a group that already knows how to make hard machines fly.
We named the intelligence GHOST CORE on purpose. The oldest unease about a thinking machine is the ghost in the machine, the presence you can't see, doing the work. We decided to build it deliberately, and to point it at the work people shouldn't have to do. For people, not instead of them.
The night shift just clocked in.
