Below are the people who run the company, then the roles that exist, what each one is accountable for, and who stops what. We publish both, because they answer different questions. A biography tells a customer who we are. It does not tell them who holds release authority for a policy that moves a 5 ft machine next to a person on a night shift. The org chart does.
- Founder & Chief Executive
- Owns the thesis, the product line and the capital plan. Final authority on what the
company will and will not build, and on what a machine is allowed to do unsupervised.
Chairs the deployment release board.
- Chief Engineer, Humanoid Platform
- Technical authority for GHOST — actuators and the joints they drive, hands, structure,
and the energy system. Owns the mass statement and the duty-cycle budget that decides
whether a unit covers a full shift or most of one.
- Chief Engineer, Autonomy — GHOST CORE
- Technical authority for the on-board vision-language-action policy. Owns the evaluation
gate and the regression suite, and holds one of the two release keys for any policy that
moves a machine within reach of a person.
- Chief Engineer, Quadruped Systems
- Technical authority for HOUND — locomotion, terrain handling, payload and endurance.
Owns the stability case for stairs, ramps and loose surfaces.
- Head of Perception
- The head, the 360° perception ring and the sensing stack. Owns detection and tracking
of people at range, which is the requirement every other safety argument rests on.
- Vice President, Manufacturing
- Accountable for the build: tooling, rate, quality and the cost-per-unit curve the
service pricing rests on. Owns first-article and serial-number provenance.
- Vice President, Deployment & Field Operations
- Runs the pilots and the fleet: site survey, integration onto Fantom Command, uptime,
service and spares. Holds the authority to stop a deployment, and uses it before a
customer has to ask.
- Director, Safety
- Functional safety, risk assessment, and the incident review that follows anything
unexpected on a customer floor. Independent reporting line to the founder, because a
safety function that reports to the schedule is not one.
- Director, Supply Chain
- Sourcing, qualification of domestic and allied second sources, and counterfeit-part
defence on the components we do not make ourselves.
- Director, People
- Hiring, the Vermont workforce pipeline, and the technician training that has to exist
before a fleet does.
These are accountabilities, not headcount. Fantom Robotics is a small team in
Vermont and several of these roles are currently held by the same person; we publish the
accountability so it is clear who answers for what, and we name the holder when the seat is
